We are Umed Club

Jodhpur was then ruled by a benevolent king, Maharaja Umaid Singh Ji, who came to be known as the builder of modern Jodhpur. The Maharaja promoted formation of a club where the select group could enjoy the evening, playing tennis or cards or sit sipping their favorite drink, interact on matter of common interest or just gossip to their delight. The idea of Umed Club was thus born.

Though we do not presently have a full and authentic record of the earlier years of the Club, it was perhaps started in 1922 with a membership of about 22 persons.
